Tell Nestle to get water to Jackson, Mississippi!

After weeks of complications, the water in Jackson, Mississippi, is now completely undrinkable. An emergency was declared after an influx of water due to flooding caused a pump failure, and now a predominantly Black community is unable to shower, hydrate, do dishes, cook, or clean. This didn't happen overnight, the Jackson community has dealt with "boil water" notices since late July. We should have learned from Flint's water crisis that infrastructure related to clean water must be prioritized — but unfortunately, history has repeated itself.

Nestle, the world's largest food and drink company, has more than enough resources to supply the city of Jackson with water until the situation is resolved. It's no secret that Nestle has a history of extracting water from local aquifers that service communities, then peddling it for profit without benefiting the residents they're stealing from. It's well past time for Nestle to do some good in regard to water.
