B.C., Ban the Use of Orca Whales for Profit

Recently, the province of Ontario banned the buying and selling of orca whales, so that no orca whales will be kept in captivity for the purpose of profit. Whales living in captivity are kept in tight spaces, and often experience other poor living conditions.

The Vancouver Aquarium is the only facility left in Canada to house orca whales in captivity.
